--Chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon and general manager Omar Minaya are expected to be in Buffalo on Monday morning for a press conference announcing the city as the new Class AAA home of the Mets. The Mets spent the past two seasons in New Orleans after spending the previous 38 years in 3B David Wright's hometown of Norfolk, Va. --C Ramon Castro made his first start since Aug. 26 on Friday. Castro, who had been nursing a strained right quadriceps muscle, doubled in his first at-bat against Atlanta lefthander Jo-Jo Reyes and went 1-for-3.
--2B Argenis Reyes, in an 0-for-24 rut, was benched after three straight starts in Washington. Luis Castillo took over at the position and is expected to see the bulk of the action during the season's final week. Reyes was called upon as a pinch-hitter in the eighth and delivered a sacrifice bunt.
--3B David Wright matched a career high with his 116th RBI. It came on an eighth-inning single against Atlanta's Julian Tavarez en route to a 9-5 win against the Braves at Turner Field.
